“Étude on a Saffron Dessert”

HURWITZ : Cimabue

by Hurwitz (2006)

Cimabue is the name of an Italian pre-Renaissance painter; scent created by DSH to recreate and transcend ARTISAN PARFUMEUR: Safran Troublant (2002).

Such a deep, cinnamon-y, Christmas market smell. It's powdery, so it has a layer of powdery florals and most likely orris on top of it. Lemon grass oil; then pretty directly to warm spices; dark woods (sweet sandalwood) and gourmands. All spicy-saffron.
