Alfred D'Orsay moved to London in 1821 and there became the dandy. One story tells how he was to fight someone, and requested that his opponent was not allowed to strike his face lest his beauty remain intact.
Whisky, rum, peaches, pineapple and plum; clove, sandalwood, tobacco. It's boozy, oriental, almost gourmand at the start. 10 minutes in a tropical resort fruit salad, pineapple leaves; then one hour later, caramel.
