“A Kind Chypre”

COUTURIER : Coriandre

by Sieuzac (1973)

Debut of nose Couturier, in a time when the femme fatale or icy bitch chypre reigned high. This is tamer, kinder.

Green rose chypre: bergamot and coriander opening, then quickly adds soapy, milky white flowers and rose; coriander's heart. Classical chypre finish. After 2 hours: cool floral, mint? Hyacinth, daffodils? Indolic, not terribly powdery; a little bit of petitgrain, coriander big time; first hints of vetiver start to show, but it's a non-smokey one. No balsamics.
