“Binding Flower Bouquets in the Hammam”
CHANEL : 19
by Robert (1970)
Made by nose Henri Robert one year before Coco died.
Green galbanum and iris opening (leathery, not floral); coriander, dusty; talcum? Some woods, vetiver (but no labdanum to put it into the chypre category), some rose and hyacinth inbetween. Maybe bay leaf; then old, dried flowers. Galbanum keeps it all in check. Lots of moss; rosewood? Certainly dry. After 30 minutes, it's very dry and faint, a tad woody; and oddly, some milk chocolate.
